The skincare products crafted here are not purposed to force the skin to look a certain way, rather they are purposed to support the function of the human body, appreciating that everything works together.

Disruption & Degradation

   In recent years it has been noted that humans are “aging faster”, that is, the signs of aging are making an appearance sooner than they used to. It’s important to note what causes this to happen. 

     The appearance of aging can be simplified as the body breaking down. The body is breaking down faster than it used to. This is mostly thanks to a shift in thinking during the 1950’s, that has been difficult to “re-shift”. The thinking is “better living through chemicals”, specifically synthetic chemicals. Many of these synthetic ingredients have been shown to be very effective and low cost, but in the long run have disruptive and degrading tendencies. 

     These ingredients appear to benefit for a time, and then cause the body to break down rapidly. Some ingredients have been shown to disrupt Endocrine & Hormone functions, as well as cause Free Radical damage. Some results of Free Radical damage are: visible signs of aging, poor organ function, and diseases such as cancer. 

Preventative

  In tandem with supporting the body, the skincare is also designed with the intent of preventing disruption and degradation. When the body is supported it has a better chance of functioning at its best and fighting against harms. 

     Not only are we concerned with including ingredients that support the body, but we are also focused on eliminating as many ingredients as we are able that cause degradation and disruption. In this way we hope to prevent the body from breaking down as fast as it could. 

Eco-Conscious

Primarily Glass Containment - we have elected to use glass containment primarily as many plastics contain elements that can enter the products overtime and cause disruption in the human body.

Biodegradable Packaging - we are excited and proud to share that our packaging for shipment is eco-conscious, it is either bio-degradable or recycled. 

     Although we are not able to perfectly accomplish all of our goals at once, we are constantly working towards improving in this area.

Sustainability

Our Accessories and Home products are primarily crafted from recycled/salvaged materials. We locate supplies at Thrift and Re-sale shops, such as: notions, vintage fabrics, or items that may be deconstructed, and we use them to craft something new. Or, we locate broken items and with some gentle repair and we give them new life.

Much of the fabric, linens, and clothing donated to Thrift shops actually end up in the trash. It is our goal to source supplies from these shops in order to prevent as much as we can from ending up in landfills, and instead, give them new form and new life.

Handcrafted

The products offered here are handcrafted. We devote much time, energy, and care into research, design, and the ultimate creation of each product. 

       Handcrafting allows us the opportunity to create something unique; to select each individual material, and take joy in crafting something both beautiful and purposeful.
